Specially stabilised whipped cream stays light and fluffy longer! Decorate cakes, cupcakes, pies, etc.  Followers may recognise this stabilised whipped cream. When published in 2018, its ease of preparation made it a reader favourite. After a few years, I added more success tips!

INGREDIENTS

-Gelatin  -Water  -Heavy whipping cream  -Powdered sugar  -Vanilla extract

Directions

This ensures proper whipped cream thickening. Sprinkle unflavored gelatin powder over cold water in a microwave-safe bowl. Gelatin should sit for 3–4 minutes. It should dissolve and wrinkle like the photo above.

Mix the heavy whipping cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla in the bowl of a stand mixer that has a whisk attachment. Just whip the ingredients together until they start to thicken and soft peaks start to form.
